Our Mission Statement

Trusted partners in developing comprehensive and sustainable engineering solutions that enable communities to thrive.

Our History

In 2021, Engineering Resources of Southern California, Inc. (ERSC) marked 25 years of providing outstanding professional civil engineering services to clients throughout Southern California. John “Matt” Brudin formed ERSC on August 15, 1996, and remains committed to serving the region’s public sector to this day.

We proudly maintain relationships with Special Districts, Regional Agencies, and Municipalities. Our staff currently includes 37 engineers, designers, construction observation personnel, and administrative support staff in three offices located in Redlands, Palm Desert, and Temecula.

Since 1996, our organization has completed more than 3,000 design/construction management projects and more than 8,000 plan review assignments throughout Southern California. Our consistent presence and quality work product, as well as our focus on providing mentorship and resources for the continuing education of our team, has proven a winning formula.

Reaching 2021 was of particular significance for ERSC - and the world at large. The global pandemic of 2020 presented an unprecedented set of challenges for not only our firm but also our clients. The Civil Engineering discipline is inherently inventive, and it was this ingenuity that allowed our leadership team to quickly pivot operations and facilitate safe, accessible ways for our employees to remain productive. We thrived in an environment of uncertainty and remain ever in pursuit of ways to leverage all we learned.

Our Culture

ERSC celebrates the pursuit of both professional excellence and personal fulfillment. We know we are only as successful as our employees are happy. To that end, our leadership is committed to a culture that develops, celebrates, and supports our most important assets - our people.

Competitive Benefits

ERSC offers a suite of benefits that includes a company-sponsored Health Insurance Benefits Plan and 401K. Visit our careers page to learn more. We also encourage our employees to invest in their development through a continuing education program, "lunch and learn" events, and mentoring from senior staff.

Family Atmosphere

Our team members bring far more to our office than simply professional skill. They are real people with real lives, and we value them for who they are. We strive to show our appreciation for them with ongoing company events, recognition, and celebrations.

Community Partnerships

ERSC is proud to sponsor all kinds of community events, including the Believe Walk, Redlands Bicycle Classic, and Redlands Oktoberfest. We are also active in several professional associations, including the American Public Works Association - Inland Empire.
